Transnational Education Mentoring Partnership from PHERECLOS

Program: Horizon 2020
Grant Agreement no. 824630
Duration: February 01, 2021 to March 31, 2022

The PHERECLOS project is a EU funded project to foster Open Schooling culture.

Objective: creating new partnerships for pathways to higher education and science engagement in regional clusters of open schooling.

Open Schooling means that schools exploit resources and ideas in their surrounding environment. In this way, they respond to topics and challenges, which are relevant to the community around them and incorporate them in their teaching approaches and everyday school life. In return, schools provide to the local community the creativity and perspectives of their pupils and teachers as a valuable resource for society.

Within PHERECLOS project, cross-sectorial Transnational Education Mentoring Partnerships (TEMPs) were established. They are based on the work of the Local Education Clusters – as lighthouse projects built around local cooperation.

Objective: to spread the developed ideas and resources.

The TEMP program provides an opportunity to realize small scale initiatives related to Open Schooling and mutual learning among mentoring partners. Participating organizations benefit from the knowledge, tools and experience within the project network.

EDUPLUS Association was selected to be part of this mentoring program, alongside 43 other institutions from all over Europe. We form a TEMP Partnership Spain-Romania with:

  • Association Planeta Ciencias: one of our local collaborator from Tenerife

two institutions from Romania:

  • University of Agronomical Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Bucharest
  • Bilingual High School Ita Wegman, Bucharest

Coordinator:

KINDERBURO UNIVERSITAT WIEN GMBH (KUW), Austria
